This first piece I scrolled from 1/4″ book matched Ashe Juniper filled with epoxy resin.  I tinted the resin with copper and yellow micah and red alcohol ink to accent the voids in the Juniper.  The figure in the juniper is quite exceptional.  I milled the backer from 1/4″ red oak.  After scrolling the backer the pieces were meticulously and carefully hand sanded for a smooth finish.  I dyed the oak backer black.  I finished the assembled piece with gloss lacquer for a lovely sheen.
