Walnut Pedestal Bowl

$176.00

The black walnut tree this came from fell on a house in Louisiana during hurricane Katrina. It was initially turned into a hollow vessel, but I was never really happy with it. So I decided to put it back on the lathe and make a bowl out of it. Because of the initial shape, the bottom was a bit small so I added a Sipo (AKA African Mahogany) pedestal under it. Finished with gloss lacquer and buffed. It measures 9 1/4″ wide, 6 3/4″ tall.
