St. Patrick’s Day Gnome

Things got in the way of me getting this up on time, but here it is. You can view my other turnings herehttps://www.youtube.com/playlist?list…. Last week was gnome week at Worldwide Woodturners (worldwidewoodturners.org) and also St. Patty’s Day. This gnome, or gonk, was turned for that purpose. And I thought I’d throw in a little twist of sorts. I turned it all in one piece and attempted to give the hat a bit of a slant. That didn’t work quite as well as I had hoped, but it wasn’t a fail either. I finished it with Valspar gloss water-based poly. It measures 5 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ tall. Enjoy.
