Spalted Hackberry Tool Handle – for Robust Collet Handle System

I picked up a 3/4″ Thompson bowl gouge at SWAT last year and a Robust Collet Handle kit at SWAT last year. I just never got around to doing anything with it until now. I had this piece of Hackberry log from my rolling pin attempt and decided it was the perfect choice. Yes, I could have purchased an amazing exotic blank for the handle, but why? This episode shows the steps I went through to turn the handle and mount the collet system. I finished the handle with Minwax Antique Oil Finish. Enjoy.
