SWAT 2021 Synopsis – Southwest Association of Turners… Another great symposium!

The SWAT Symposium was cancelled last year due to Covid. This is understandable, but unfortunate. Turnout from participants and vendors alike was about half of the norm. The organizers were anticipating masks being required this year, but kept them optional per state guidelines. This may have affected the turnout. Most were good about social distancing and some wore masks. Even with the lower turnout it was a great event. My only complaint would be with the food. Lunch was provided each day and Saturday banquet tickets were available. They had a new caterer this year (not sure why) and the food was not what we have become accustomed to. It wasn’t bad, but it largely wasn’t as good as in the past. If you get a chance to go to this event, I still highly recommend it. If you have questions that I didn’t answer, feel free to contact me.
