Hybrid Resin Pedestal Bowl – With Ashe Juniper and plastic box strapping

As I unboxed my new lathe I noticed that some of the shipping straps were a pretty translucent green and some were white. And it gave me an idea for a casting project… one that I won’t attempt again. Watch to see why. I used Alumilite Clear Slow with Jacquard Iridescent White dye and Cactus micah. I’ve very happy with how this one turned out! I painted the crevices in the juniper with pearlescent white acrylic before casting, but it turned out to be pointless since you can’t see any of it. Oh well, live and learn, right?
