Osage Orange Lidded Box – With Chinese Tallow lid and Kamani finial
March 31, 2020
While trying to figure out what to do next I came across some blanks I bought 14 or 15 years ago. I grabbed one I thought was Ash, but it turned out to be osage orange. I turned the blank to a pleasant shape and found a piece of Chinese Tallow that looked like it would make a nice lid. I also used the leftover piece of Kamani wood from the coffee scoop for the finial. I dyed the top of the lid black with Speedball Super Black India Ink. Thanks for watching.
